The Burlington Hotel offers a budget-friendly stay with breakfast included, a definite plus for many guests, and free parking adding to the convenience. Located within a pleasant 10-20 minute walk to Torquay centre and the harbour, it provides easy access to local attractions, plus there's a shop nearby. Guests appreciate the value for money, and while some found the decor a bit retro, many enjoyed the vintage vibe. The bar is inexpensive, though some may find the card payment minimum a bit high.

Great Value with Amazing Staff!

great locationnearby restaurantsprompt servicecozy heating
The location was fantastic. Bus stops were just a short walk away! I found a wonderful Chinese restaurant right across the street from the hotel. The breakfast was very satisfying, and the staff promptly served me. That was really nice (I even got seconds!). I stayed warm and cozy thanks to the heating system in my room.
The hotel's entrance had a step, which might be difficult with mobility issues.
Rooms
9/10
My room offered a thick pillow and a thin pillow, it gave me good options. The towel rail was exactly where it needed to be and I liked it. A spacious surface was by the bathtub to put soaps, glasses and my stuff.
Facilities
8/10
The bar provided entertainment, even if only a few people used it. The quiet room was a really nice space to relax. Breakfast included porridge and plum in syrup, I added it to my English breakfast (very delicious!). Both coffee and tea were served in a pot.
Location
10/10
The regular 22 bus stop was just down the road, made getting into town easy. There were plenty of shops and cafes within a ten-minute walk. The downhill walk to town was also very pleasant and it took about ten minutes.
Service
10/10
Housekeeping visited my room daily and did a very good job in making it as good as possible. The breakfast staff worked very hard and were always friendly. The staff were amazing and looked after me very well .

basic but some issues

dated roomno shower curtain
the room felt pretty outdated and not in a charming way. i noticed there wasn't a shower curtain, so the bathroom floor got soaked easily. also, the room got really stuffy at night. i wish there had been a fan available because i found it hard to sleep in the heat.
